Scotland featured as the location for the Masters International 2023 Cross Country event. Lea represented Ireland in the Masters M50 category on a freezing cold, yet fresh clear day in Tollcross Park, Glasgow for the race.
The field was highly competitive with top athletes representing each jurisdiction. This was another 8km event for this age category, with four loops again being completed. Lea found the course to be very hilly and demanding on the quads. Something to bear in mind for the next time it's held in Tollcross Park! The Irish team was very successful in this category, claiming team bronze in the event. Massive congratulations to all competitiors and to the Irish team on their achievements for 2023.
