In December, Plant Based AC athletes went on a road trip to Co. Cork, where the annual Grange Fermoy AC 10km raec is held on New Years Eve. The end of December was stormy and our athlete fought the blustery, wet conditions to power her way around the course. To be expected in Cork, there was a great variety in the gradient and the course had rolling hills to keep her on her toes.
As always in Cork, there was a great reception afterwards with tea, coffee and refreshments in the local hall afterwards. Many athletes stayed to catchup and witness the awards ceremony. Rachel had finished in 4th place and with Grange Fermoy having a large prize pot, she finished in an awards position.
