Plant Based AC raced the renowned Griffith Avenue mile race this September. As a newer club, it was our first time to compete in this distinguished, sell out event. What a race it turned out to be. Griffith Avenue was full of supporters lining the route, clapping and cheering the competitors on.
There was a great party afterwards and a large scale awards ceremony. The organisers also had plenty of food stalls set up for athletes to refuel from. With the sun shining down, it was no wonder there were massive crowds present for this sold out event.
Rachel represented Plant Based AC, and in her first race of this distance, she took third place overall in the highly competitive women's field.
Lea took first place in his age category, M50, with a super time of 4:33.
